Recommendations

In case of a road traffic accident:
• Turn on the hazard warning lights;
• Do not move the vehicles;
• Record the consequences of the accident using photos or videos. Take pictures at the accident scene;
• Depending on the severity of the accident, call 112 and request Police assistance or, if necessary, Emergency Medical Services;
• Notify the insurer about the accident within 48 hours by calling +373 22 54 99 54 / +373 601 10 007, by email at daune.auto@transelit.md, or by filling out an online notification form.

“Amicable Accident Report” Procedure:
• Follow the recommendations above and assess the vehicle damage, which must not exceed 15,000 MDL;
• If the damage does not exceed 15,000 MDL, calling 112 is not required;
• Check the validity of the documents of all drivers involved and complete the Amicable Accident Report Form;
• The amicable procedure applies only if 2 (two) vehicles are involved in the accident;
• The document package for the amicable accident report must be submitted to the RCA insurer within 2 working days from the date of the accident.

Required Documents for Claim Settlement
Attach the following to your claim request:
• Documents confirming fault in the accident;
• Documents confirming ownership of the vehicle;
• Valid vehicle technical inspection and driver’s license;
• Insurance contract / policy.

Right of Recourse
Insurance companies have the right to recover damages from those found at fault in cases such as:
• the accident was caused intentionally;
• the responsible party left the accident scene;
• the responsible party was under the influence of alcohol;
• the responsible party had no driving license;
• there was no valid technical inspection.
